Planning Commission

The Nehalem Planning Commission is responsible for hearing and making recommendations to the City Council on land-use applications that come before it, as well as providing the City Council with recommendations on legislative amendments to the City's Land-Use Ordinances.  Commissioners serve 4 year terms and are appointed by the City Council.  By Resolution, at least three members must reside within City limits. The remaining two members may include a person who resides outside the City limits, but inside the City Urban Growth Boundary and may include a person who is either an owner or manager of an existing business which is located within the City limits, regardless of the residence of that person.
